When I started to spin steel wool nearly 6 years ago, I always wondered if there was a way to add color to the sparks. Magnesium ribbons will give a white/blue effect but I wanted more. For years I tried to figure it out!
I researched different options, but found very little. Then started to re learn some chemistry and finally cracked it! The first attempt I messed up the camera settings, but the color was still visible.
Knowing that it was possible I continued my attempts at some water and was blown away by the results!
Realizing that I had been only trying over the head spinning, I switched it up.
