Last night a friend and I took an adventure down into an overflow storm drain

With a free half hour, a couple of pads of steel wool and my camera.

For this last weekend, I wanted to make a video about doing steel wool photos. This proved difficult but still got some decent shots!

I always wondered if there was a way to add color to the sparks. For years I tried to figure it out!

To capture this sparkling shot = I first got a steel whisk - put steel wool inside - lit up the steel wool - spun the whisk high up in the air - had a 360 degree camera set on a tripod - did a long exposure
