In Orson Welles’ famous movie Citizen Kane, Kane gets to the end of his life having created media empires, built lavish estates, married a beautiful woman, and so many other things. Then at the end of the film it’s revealed that his last words referred to his dear toboggan “Rosebud”, that he kept as a child - the simple memories of playing in the snow.
Every day we might be creating pleasant memories, enjoying moments with a friend or times of solitude, seeing a sunset or with others. If we set the intention, we can fully embrace those moments, savour them, and save that simple feeling in our hearts.
