At school I really enjoyed media studies. It was actually a relatively new subject to study back in the 1990's, but I really got on with it and found it both fascinating and inspiring at the same time.
As media studies students we had to explore all sorts of areas within the media landscape. Obviously the news media was one of the key focal areas. Back then the news was presented to us as this powerful and almighty bastion of free speech and free expression. Having a developed media ecosystem was the hallmark of a civilised society.
So I grew up with this very instilled notion that the news media was a positive force for our society and played a vital role in our democracy. I even flirted with the idea once of becoming a reporter for television news such was my admiration for the industry.
I dare say perhaps at one point in the history of the news media there were some people who had a noble goal of exposing corruption and wrongdoing while bringing us news about events locally and internationally. But roll on a decade later and I'm starting to see things quite differently. Give it another ten years and my once childhood respect for the mainstream news media has evaporated and has been replaced by pure unadulterated disgust and anger.
As the graphic above expressly states the mainstream media is not to be trusted. It is to be constantly questioned, always challenged and if possible mostly ignored. There can be little doubt amongst the independent thinking of us that the modern day media is an industry predicated on lies, deception and a determination to divide us all. The media does not just simply report, it has a deep and hidden globalist UN agenda.
The media plays its unique part in the destruction of our society. That's in addition to the very effective way it makes us feel guilty, hate ourselves, depress us and make us angry.
To think that as a child, and even into my twenties, I considered becoming a part of this menace makes me shudder but at least I did eventually learn the true nature of the mainstream media. It is not to inform and expose, it is not to empower us with information that positively advances the human race, far from it. The media is probably the most powerful tool the globalist elites have at their disposal.
You must be curious, surely at the very least you can do that. Stay curious, nothing is ever what it appears to be especially when it comes to the mainstream news media.
Peace!
