I drove along a small road in a Russian province in the Yaroslavl region. Around were snowy expanses. The weather was great. The sun was shining and the snow shone like diamonds.
The bluish glow of the snow was amazing. On the way, I met picturesque houses. I even stopped and got out of the car to take some pictures.
Although, there is one surprising moment in the difference in sensations between what you see from the car and what you see when you stand on the road.
The fact is that when we move in the head, a picture is formed in our head that does not actually exist. But this does not mean that the views along the roads are not real. They will simply be perceived differently. It’s like the difference between video and photo.
But I was distracted.
And so, I got out of the car and looking around, went to the side of the road. Here in the hoarfrost there are beautiful umbrellas of a dangerous plant called Hogweed. In summer, it is a very dangerous plant for humans. Its effect on humans enhances the perception of ultraviolet light. This can cause severe burns, especially to the eyes. This plant itself appeared as a result of genetics. Scientists tried to create a plant for the effective feeding of cattle and made a mistake. The resulting plant turned out to be poisonous.
But in winter, these umbrellas look very impressive. Especially covered with hoarfrost.
Of course, not only hogweed looks beautiful in winter interiors. Many trees and grasses take on a fantastic look in the snow and hoarfrost.
Driving further down the road, I saw beautiful domes of the church away from the main road. I decided to turn to the church, besides because the sunset was setting behind the domes. It turned out to be a functioning church. It is called Smolenskaya. Rather, the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God of Smolensk in Fedorovsky.
In the rays of the setting sun, the domes of this church were so cozy and homely. The temple away from the highway and around is very quiet and calm. The real Russian province.
As you know, churches and ships never spoil the landscape.
