The Challenge and an Evening Walk
Three days ago, I mentioned in my Actifit post that I decided that I would like to join the ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #83, Finding Yellow Everywhere. In that post, I shared a sneak peek of a photo in my camera roll that I intend to use in this challenge.
That photo was taken from this same area but from a different vantage point.
I felt confident that I was out for a good start -- the sun was going down and there city lights were just starting to illuminate the city. This resting shed has LED lights surrounding the structure. Pretty neat, I say.
Across the road, there is also a yellow waiting shed and yes, those gigantic statements -- SOCIETY and on my side of the road, LIVEABILITY. There are several more of these in this area, though I am really unsure what the theme was when the Municipality started erecting these. Whatever it is, they really gave the city a more vibrant vibe.
I was walking in the direction where I would meet my husband along the way as he walked back home from his office. I used the pedestrian lane to cross the main road but another option was to take the footbridge.
The footbridge has lights that change from red, violet, and yellow.
I had to pause for a while to wait for this side of the bridge to change into yellow.
Yay! We're on track on the Finding Yellow Challenge and my Actifit steps so far. LOL.
Here's the footbridge up close.
Yellow Cafés?!
Al Mamoura Area has lots of cafes and restaurants. I did not have to go deep into the area to find some beautiful and brightly lit cafes.
Again, I had to stop and take a few photos -- for the challenge's sake. Lol.
The cafés look so warm and cozy, it makes me wonder of they serve great coffee and pastries, perhaps?
We passed by this bobba tea house. I'm pretty sure they also serve coffee. I joked to my husband I won't tell our daughter about this nearby bobba tea shop because if I do, then she might nag me every day about it. 😅
More from the road...
There's lots of construction happening in every corner of the city. One happens to be here at Delma Street. There's road repairs or they're redesigning the center islands I don't know. But one thing's sure -- there's an abundance of yellow on road and construction signs.
This one is a warning light at just by the pedestrian lane.
The Quest Continues The Morning After
The following morning I went to getmy car that I parked not too far from home.
There are several schools in the area which means that there are also lots of school buses parked here.
One must always be cautious when driving near/alongside a school bus. Honestly, I didn't know there are cameras on this side of the bus! This is the left side of the bus near the "Stop" sign that flips outwards when students alight.
From big school buses, there's also this yellow Veloster conveniently parked nearby, as if the owner knows there is a Finding Yellow Challenge going on in Hive. 🤭
Anyway, in closing, I want to say that I truly enjoyed this Yellow hunt. Yellow is my favorite color ever since I was a little kid. I love the vibrance and the brilliance it brings to anything it touches.
