The days are been very hot here in Bangkok lately so i didn't want to walk the parks or the Bangkok streets today so , i figured slipping into a shopping mall with air condition and kill two birds at once by doing my #wednesdaywalk and #marketfriday , i took the Skytrain to one of the high end mall in Bangkok called Siam Paragon.
On arrival to Siam Paragon mall getting in was as bad as trying to get into the Pentagon the security was heavy we had to scan a QR Code on our phones give them our phone number have out temperatures checked before you could even get into the from door which was all good for safety measures.
And if you refused to cooperate the Super Force would kid you out...lol 😆
Siam Paragon is one of the mother malls in Bangkok a high end mall housing several hundred luxury stores like Dolce & Gabbana , Parad , Louis Vuitton , Jim Thompson and many more including all international restaurants and coffee shops it even has a Sea Life Ocean World on the bottom floor.
What sadden me was ever thought these malls have been allowed to open in the past week with strict measures of entering the mall there still seemed to be fear amongst people there was really only a handful of people in this huge mall and many restaurants were still not opened for two reasons i think is that people are still in fear and there are no tourist in the country a sad situation still so not worth some of these restaurants and luxury shops to open just yet.
Even though they are trying to make the public feel safe by putting these plastic screen divides between you while you lunching and tables put at a distance apart it's all well and good but without the tourist around it's a fighting battle at the moment but at least the locals can enjoy the peacefulness of the malls at the moment.
Here they were shooting a commercial advertising for Thai TV to let the people know that now the mall is a safe place with these plastic screen dividers , myself i find that a laugh quite ironic to be honest with you but people can believe what they like 😆
The food court here in Siam Paragon as i remember been here in Thailand a few times you could hardly even get a table you had to wait in line some times because of the foods been so tasty , cheap and many varieties well today you can have any table you like.
The Gourmet Market seemed to be the busiest shop in this mall why , i think because people at the moment would rather shop for there groceries and cook from home , i assume many people are still doing that to feel safer.
There still wasn't the crowds of people that i have normally seen in the past in this Gourmet Market but certainly there was not shortage of groceries , fruit or veggies.
They always have a abundance of fruits from all around the world some of these huge apples , peaches , grapes , pears and many more that are imported from Japan can cost you $10 to $15 US a piece 🙀
The Juice Bar every fruit juice you can think of available here..
The Rice shop every color and size of rice you can think of...
The Salad bar select your mix and pay at the counter....
And if you wanted to take a photo with the famous actor Tom Cruise you could do that also...
And that's my walk and shopping done always love coming to this Gourmet Market and now it's time to head home and this is Friday afternoon peak hour of the day at the Skytrain station and still not many humans around 🙀
