It was summer, Gaius had taken his newly wedded wife Juliet to an Island in Atlanta, this was the couple's dream. She held his arm firmly to hers as they walked round the beauty Island, laughter filled the quiet atmosphere. She had once dreamt of visiting a place alone with the man she love, here it was, her dream coming to reality, she smiled as she held his face and softly said "I love you" he held her hands, "I love you too" he replied letting her rest her head on his broad chest.
"Let's take a walk into the pine trees," Juliet said, pointing in the direction of the pine trees. He held her hands as they walked that direction.
Two days later, it was noticed that the young couples had not returned. The last time they were seen was when they walked into the pine trees. They were nowhere to be found as they checked around for them, one foot of Juliet's slipper was seen displaced among the pines and another far off. The scattered leaves and the marks on the ground shows they had struggles on that spot. Fear gripped anyone, could they have been attacked by a bear? The man guarding the island questioned himself. It's been a long time since they had such a case, it was tackled some years ago and nothing of such occurred again.
Soon the securities arrived to investigate the issue and decided to trace the footprints of the unknown creature. The footprints led them to a cave far from the Island, no one ever knew such a place existed. The security men holding their guns and torchlight walked into the cave in groups, cautious of making any sound since they weren't sure of what they were to face, the footprints weren't of any animal that they knew.
"Gaius" one of the men called out, they could hear faint voices from afar.
They were jitter by a groaning sound and soon they realized it was a bear. After some minutes of struggling and shooting, the bear dashed out of the cave and ran into the bush. The faint sound continued, they traced it to see the couples injured, luckily a hawk had restricted the bear from causing more harm to them until the very hour where they had arrived. The lovers got home after being treated well.
"I wouldn't go close to the pines again," Juliet said to Gaius, who was checking on his scars. They both laughed, "we were lucky for the hawk fighting for its territory".
