Tasteless food is not my favorite, I will try to modify the taste as much as I can while I keep the original taste and doing it with very simple way. Sometimes, I try my own recipe or modify the original recipe of my mom to produce the new taste. Failure is something I can handle with passion, and I will write the new recipe what it has a good result. Some of my original recipes need time to make and some are very simple to make. I believe that everyone can cook as long as they are willing to try, even for the most simple recipe (not include boil the water..LOL). What you need to understand is every single herb or seasoning has its own unique and specific taste, and when you combine those herb will produce a new taste.
Little example I give: Do you like the taste of onion itself?, I don’t. But, when you give little salt, garlic and chili and boil it in a glass of water add some celery, it become delicious healthy soup!, is that right?
Yes that is, today I would like to tell you my original simple recipe of fried chicken, it is a modification recipe of Traditional Aceh Besar Fried Chicken (Ayam Tangkap). The normal recipe of Ayam Tangkap is without seasoning, but only fry the chicken in hot cooking oil and add some of redolent leafs such as Curry leaf and Pandan leaf, onion, garlic and green chili. But, 10 years ago, I have tried some other way and method of frying it. The result is thet chicken getting more crispy and tasty.
Here I share you the simple recipe of Healthy Fried Chicken
Part one:
• ½ kg fresh chicken flesh
• 1 tbsp Lemon/vinegar/lime
• 2 tsp salt
Part two
• 4 pcs garlic
• 5 pcs onion
• 1 tsp coriander powder
• ½ tsp turmeric powder
• 1 cm ginger
Part Three
• 2 pcs Garlic
• 4 onion
• Curry leaf
• Pandan Leaf
• Chili (red or green)
Cooking Method
- Clean the chicken flesh and wash it, cut into small piece (4x4 cm), add salt and lemon extract.
- Grind the seasoning part two (garlic, onion, ginger) and add the powder mix it well and then pour it on the chicken flesh.
- Mix the chicken flesh and the seasoning part 2 well and then leave it for 15 minute.
- Chop the seasoning part Three, and wait for the chicken to be ready. And warm the cooking oil (I prefer coconut oil to Palm Oil, I made coconut oil by myself)
- When the chicken ready, fry the chicken till it turn into yellowish, and then pour a little amount of seasoning part three
'6. Wait until it well cooked and the flesh getting crispy and tender
'7. Do it for the rest of the flesh (3 or 4 times frying)
It will be so amazing tasty and crispy healthy fried chicken. That is my favorite way of frying the chicken. You are please welcome to give it a try and feel the taste. You are also welcome to modify the recipe or the method of cooking it. Please let me know if you like it when you try. And you like to give extra artificial seasoning, you can go for it.
