Time Change, Birthday, Grilling, Farming Game, Shows

I had forgotten when going to bed that it was time change so when I woke up and walked out to see my phone and computer had changed automatically I felt the sudden annoyance that I get every time change. We have moved so far past needing the time change that it is an ancient relic that needs to be put away for good.

It rained overnight but only .12 inches, enough to keep the temps above freezing with the cloud cover. So nice to be back to the 50s F during the days now, even if it is raining.

It was Hive account@stryeyz birthday so the day was nice and mellow. After the morning soak I got out a bottle of the cherry cider from Goose Ridge Winery in Richland WA. It is such a delicious cider and not over powering in the flavor.

We broke out The Farming Game again and it got left up all day. By the time we put it away in the evening we had all built our farms up nicely and we are all making substantial money each round of the board. While we played during the morning/mid day we had the Puscifer concerts on the tv then in the afternoon we had Doctor Who rolling various episodes.

I had the fire going in the pit again and since I still had leftover ground beefallo I made up burger patties for us for lunch. I had to coax the fire into getting big enough fast enough but I managed to get them grilled nicely.

The afternoon soak was a bit later but that is thanks to the time change. I had to get out sooner so I could get the marinade made for the steaks.

Maple Bourbon marinade for the pair of bison bone-in rib steaks. They only got about half an hour of soak time but it still managed to permeate them a good amount.

I had a much better bed of coals to work with for grilling the steaks and they both came out perfectly.

6:30 pm and it was still bright outside.

Ended the night back outside. I ended up crashing somewhat early.

Today is going to be a bit busy. The rain has moved off for now, J is at school, R has school mid day, then Hive account@stryeyz and I are going to lunch, after that up to the school to get our name on the wrestling sweatshirts and look for shirts of the school, then I'll pick the boys up after school. Tonight they have wrestling practice again.
