Good day Foodies Bee Hive team! How are you? It has been a while since my last post. I would like to share with you today my own version of Pork Stew
When did I start cooking?
I started cooking when I was a kid when my father taught me how to saute. It always ends there until such time I was being responsible to cook for my siblings when my parents are out in the morning to go to work earlier than imagined. So until now, I have been passionate about my cooking and I always want to make my family and loved ones have a happy tummy.
Why Pork Stew?
I taste a pork stew before that have been lingering on my palate and I wanted to copy the flavor and taste of his cooking. I know his secret ingredient and I will share it with you later on.
Ingredients
While waiting for the pressure cooker, we need to cut onion, garlic, and tomatoes. I used 3 tomatoes, half a bulb of garlic, and 1 bulb of the onion. We will use these ingredients to saute the pork.
We need to cut these other two ingredients into chunks; carrots and potatoes. Later we will add these to the stew.
The final ingredient to prepare is canned pork and beans. Any brand will do. Its sweet, sour, and buttery flavor will make it elevated.
INSTRUCTIONS
- After washing the meat, put it in the pressure cooker, add pepper corn and let the pressure cooker do its job for 15 mins.
- When it is ready, saute tomato first, then the onions and garlic. Add a half teaspoon of grounded black pepper and a teaspoon of salt.
- Add the cooked pork and simmer for 5 mins. Then add 2 cups of water, you can add beef cubes according to your preference. Simmer again for 5 mins.
- Add the cut potatoes and carrots and cook it for another 10 mins or until it is soft according to preference. Add bay leaf on top.
- Then add pork and beans and simmer for 5 mins.
It is now ready to taste! Enjoy your meal.
