Since winter has started, the smell of eating winter cake has spread in everyone's house.
In fact, the joy of eating smoked cakes and pies in winter is different.
Hot steamed cake with date molasses and coconut milk is a very special dish for Bengalis on winter mornings.
There are also chitai pitha, puli pitha, bhapa pitha and many more.
As soon as the rice harvesting season is over among the people of Bangladesh, "Nabanna Utsav" starts from house to house.
But nowadays there is no opportunity to enjoy this festival.
As a child, there was boundless joy and fun in this Nabanna festival.
Very early in the morning on a winter's day when it was covered with thick fog. And at that time the brides of Bengal village used to come to Mete to make different kinds of cakes. And we little kids would sit around the mothers and eat hot cakes.
She had a different kind of sweet childhood.
