Hello readers!
Our party members are preparing and soon they'll be splitting ways. For now, Magna is making sure everyone is doing what they must, while looking for Letty.
Be sure to follow up on what wrote to know where everyone is in their preparations.
She had no idea who Letty truly was, and it was difficult to predict what she would do. Her mother had referred to the woman as a rogue, but Magna was sure it didn’t mean what she thought it did.
She considered the meaning of the word as she continued to stalk through the castle grounds. She ended up finding Noxus and Gorox. The mage was sitting on a conjured seat, while the giant of a man was practicing with his hammer. Magna had seen that hammer in action. If Gorox aimed at you, there was no chance you would escape from the blow without some sort of broken bone, and that was if you were lucky not to be caught by his free hand.
She watched the Marauder of Vallox Kai do a few drills before he placed the pommel on the ground. He then folded his arms over the hammer head and then placed his chin on top of that.
“Are you ready to return?”
Knowing that she hadn’t been spotted, Magna managed to hide herself behind a topiary.
“No, but you know that already, don’t you? Aaron never could appreciate that you were smarter than him.”
“Bah! That white robe was too full of himself, and that’s what got him killed. It’s his fault we lost Kern and you your arm.”
“We were initiates, and we all carry the blame.”
“I refuse to.” Said Gorox, “And you should think better of yourself.”
“Did you come to take me back Gorox?”
He shrugged his shoulders, “I was asked to, and I refused. You deserved to break away from Kai to recover. I told them that you would be back when you were ready and to leave you alone. They didn’t listen.”
“You mean the message?”
“No Noxus, I mean the various initiates who made it their goal to return you. I put a stop to all of them. Why do you think I completed my studies so quickly? Hammers protect.”
Noxus laughed, “You are just a giant softy, aren’t you?”
Magna, bored of the conversation, turned away from it to almost jump out of her skin. Letty was leaning over her, listening to the same conversation she was.
“Ooh, I wonder if the big one has feelings for the mage.” She whispered.
At this distance, Magna was assaulted by the musty scent of a large cat with a hint of decay. Instinctually, she raised a hand to cover her nose but managed to correct herself by tucking some loose hair behind her ear.
“I was looking for you.”
“Oh, I know. I was wondering how long it would take you to figure out I was following you.”
“Eavesdropping isn’t a nice skill.” Called Gorox.
Magna rolled her eyes and stepped out from behind the hedge with a wave.
“Was looking for Letty.” She explained.
“And I found her.” Said Letty as she stepped out as well.
Gorox grumbled something, but Noxus hushed him.
“Was there a reason you were looking for me?” Said Letty, as she gripped Magna’s shoulder and turned her back toward the way she had come.
Magna waved over her shoulder at Noxus and Gorox as Letulah started to push her away. As soon as they were out of sight of the others, Letty released her and continued to walk ahead of her. She was kicking at the leaves that were littering the area.
“I was checking up on everyone’s progress.”
“It looked like you were looking for an excuse to spy. That or you were trying to get away from being given busy work. I saw how you avoided your mother.”
Magna blushed but said nothing but then realised that this woman had been following her for some time.
“How were you able to follow me without me being aware?”
Letty flexed a hand over her shoulder, showing off her claws, “I can use them to climb quite proficiently.”
That was when Magna looked down at Letty’s feet. They were bare. That was why she hadn’t heard her.
“Can your feet do the same thing?”
“Only when I really need it. So, why are you avoiding your mother?”
“I am not avoiding my mother.”
“Then you are avoiding responsibility.”
Magna frowned. Letty looked over her shoulder at the princess and laughed, “Oh, how the wheel turns!”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Your mother did the exact same thing when she was your age.”
“No way! Wasn’t my mother married to my father at my age?”
“Not yet, but she was a hellion! There was a time that she didn’t find some sort of trouble to get into.”
Magna snorted, “And how would you know?”
“Who do you think got her into that trouble to begin with?”
