There was still quite a lot of compacted snow left in the backyard.
My wife wanted to begin working on these and asked me to remove the snow.
This is surprisingly hard work. When the snow has compacted over the whole winter under 50-100 cm of snow, it takes a bit of force to cut it into chunks to be thrown to the side with a shovel.
After softening the snowbank with a shovel and spreading a good deal of it around the yard, I thought it would melt quicker if I pushed the loose snow away from the top.
