In my trip to Italy, I have seen some of the most beautiful Basilicas and one of them being the St. Mark's Basilica in Venice. I will say that Venice is a very enchanting city. The whole of Italy is breathtaking. Such a beautiful place, I was so much in awe with the whole experience of my journey. In our 3 weeks holiday, we stayed 2 days in Venice. Before travelling I had mixed reviews about the place. Some told me that it is not so attractive as it looks in the picture. But let me tell you, I was totally in love with it. I wish I had more days here. There were lots to see and do here.

Today I will share the pictures of St. Mark's Basilica which is located in the St. Mark's square of the city. It is the most famous place in Venice, rather Venice is known by it. The place was very crowded, looked like as if the whole world was out travelling in this time. People have been waiting for this time for very long and now that there are no more restrictions everyone is trying to make up for the last 2 years. The Basilica marks the wealth and power of the times when it was built. It is a 1000-year-old place but will beat up any new age construction and architecture.

There are many Altars in the Basilica. I was stunned by the designing of this whole place. Beyond one's imagination. How beautifully everything was created in those times. OfCourse it did go through some renovations in the later years.

The ceiling domes were so exquisite. Beautiful paintings carvings and structures all through out. Not even a single corner where you do not see some form of art.
