(Teaser: Fort Williams)
Today, it was time to say goodbye to Oban but before leaving we enjoyed a breakfast at HINBA Coffee Roasters. The weather was beautiful this morning and the coffee was tasty as well:
This was our route for the day:
Our first stop of this trip was at Fort Williams for another coffee. The Wildcat provided us with some baked goods and a delicious coffee. I also took some photos of Fort Williams:
For lunch, we had a reservation at Kinloch Lodge where we did not have our rooms because the prices were out of our league. We had another Airbnb nearby and photos will follow later in this post. The location was stunning! Our food was great as well and we enjoyed this break after driving this long. Also: Some impressions from the drive!

(Mushroom Risotto)
(Lobster Mac & Cheese)
(I think that this was apple crumble.)
(Chocolate & Caramel cake with marshmallows)
Afterwards, we wanted to visit the Talisker Distillery. It was a nice place and the show room looked incredible, however, due to a lack of staff, the bar was closed. That sucked hard, and I was a little frustrated. The staff explained that there is not enough housing for more people so that they cannot hire more people.
Spoiler: I bought some Whisky online, after I returned home.
Without any Whisky in our stomach, we drove to our Airbnb. I really enjoyed this apartment! And they also had a little bottle of Talisker as a present:
We did not have a reservation for dinner and every restaurant was at its capacity again. We went to the supermarket and ate at our apartment. Not that exciting but better for my wallet! For the next day, we planned to discover more of the Isle of Skye.
Stay tuned
