Hi Dear Steemit community,
Hope you're doing well. When we visit any place with a local it is always more meaningful. And it is best way to further improve our knowledge about the location. One of my friends of mine from Turkey (I firstly met him during my Exchange student Programme Erasmus in Poland years ago). He lead me to something which I am sure I have never visited as tourist. From Yenikapi metro station I had to walk 15 minutes from my acomodation in Fatih area on the way that was interesting I found a woman working on selecting wools on the road which was not very crowded.
First of all we met close the main stadium of Besiktas soccer team in the morning.
We went to a bar he usually had his Turkish breakfast, it was a great way to start our day with delicious and typical food. A cup of tea with delicious cheese with vegetables and tasty oil olive.
This Turkish breakfast we had has still something I had to take another photos
- Pisi a typical fried bread and Menemesi scrambled eggs with tomatoes and pepper.
To finish some clotted cream with honey (Kaymak) after that I was completely full.
This food with very quality we ate here in this bar located in Besiktas area
We walked around Besiktas area I was impressed how many bars Istanbul has. It looks "always alive". Later we caught the bus and we went to the north to enjoy some coastal walk in Bosphorous and we stop to have a coffee in one starbucks which is consider one of the best positioned one in the world.
As matter of fact it has three floors with a view of the surrounding bay we enjoyed it from the third one it was relaxing.
We keep walking along with the coast furthermore.
Then we came back by bus to the wharf in Besiktas and we caught a ferry which lead us to Fenerbahce area.
But before he lead me to the square of the Black Eagle symbol of the soccer team Besiktas.
Another area full of bar and shops and people walking around. It looks very modern, we have another drink in one of these bar we keep walking till the Fenerbahce stadium of soccer.
We were hungry so we ate a kebap and drink the typical yogurt Ayran I definitely like Turkish food. One of that made my stomach satisfied.
We came back around Beyoglu area and we catch what should be one the oldest underground in the world
Nothing better to conclude the day with my friend by going in probably his favorite roof top bar in Beyoglu area (name Balkony), drink a glass of wine and have this magnificient view of Istanbul during the sunset.
Once we went from the bar we found this artwork painted on the wall
Actually it was the direction from Istanbul and my next stop through the map as below it is Thessaloniki Greece.
To conclude this post I would share some other photos close to my accomodation during the day and night
Please find my previous posts about my stay in Istanbul not long stay but really intense. I definitely want to come back.
