Happy Caturday 🐈 from Bob and yours truly😹. Also happy new Year 🎉☺️, it's finally 2022 and we look forward to a wonderful year. As always thank you for stopping by, let's quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. Come on 💨.
So I got up early and had the usual fast paced morning session. I am so glad the forecasted rain ☔ didn't manifest. So I brisk walked 👣 and jogged around the neighborhood 🌲. I definitely enjoyed the cool fresh morning breeze 🍃.
Then I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally, mostly a quiet day after last night's celebrations. Probably people just resting at home contemplating the new year.
Globally, protests in Iraq, marking two year anniversary since the killing of Iranian general Soleimani by a US drone as he headed to the airport 😱. Elsewhere in Europe, France took over the rotating six month presidency of council of the EU. It is also the 20th birthday 🎉 of the 💶 Euro currency that officially came in use in Jan 2002.
Over in crypto land, bitcoin is back to 47k after falling to 45k yesterday.
You definitely know the drill, hodl and buy the dip 😹.
I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos and also handled the cleaning chores of the day.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the mall, walked around for a while then passed by the park 🌲 before heading back home 🏡.
Next came the usual nap 💤, dreaming off until sometime early evening when I got up and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in the US, the Colorado fires 🔥 finally died out but leaving lots of destruction 😬. And popular actress Betty White died aged 99, two weeks to her 100th, my sincere condolences 😢. Though it's a life worth celebrating, I remember how silly she was in the golden girls 😹, the four of them were nuts.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk.
I had a nice extended walk, ate dinner at the mall with some former colleagues and then headed back home 🏡.

I am really grateful for this new year and I thank God that I am here. When I think about the over 5 million people that have died just from the pandemic, I get even more appreciative 💯 for being here and healthy too.
