Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯. I am also glad we are already in the middle of November.It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto, lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going. A rather quiet day, but I saw a report saying that the world has reached the 8 billion mark, imagine that, there are now over 8 billion people around, Asia contributing the most followed by Africa.
Globally, Ukraine trending as Russia unleashed a barrage of 90 to 100 missiles across Ukraine, across 12 cities. That destruction leading to further damage and blackouts. A vile and wicked👹 act by Putin considering winter is fast approaching. I am yet to understand exactly what his objectives are in Ukraine😽.
It was reported that some of those missiles over shot and landed in Poland killing two people 🙀😭 around the border.
The war in Ukraine was the main talking point at the G20 meeting in Bali Indonesia. President Zelensky electronically addressing the summit.
Across the pond in the US, Republicans are one seat away from taking control of the house of representatives, they have 217 of the required 218. The democrats already regained control of the Senate. In Arizona, Katie Hobbs defeated Trump endorsed rival Kari Lake for Governor😹.
Down in Chile, president Gabriel Boric proposed a pathway to end the Araucania land dispute 👋. The Mapuche people have long been denied their land rights leading to lots of violence over many years. Let's hope the president can settle it once and for all.
Finally, in Austria, fed up climate activists poured black paint on the Klimt painting 🙀. Fortunately the painting was not damaged.
