BeerSaturday; Bikes, Beer & 80 year old Birthday Boy.

The gentlemen standing on the right turned 80 years old, and him being a fellow classic BMW Bike rider, my brother and I decided to treat him for a nice ride, lunch and some beers!! Our first stop was Kitty Hawk, which is a small airport!! Did I mention that we wanted to treat him with some coffee - well as our first stop was early in the morning and we had a few stops planned, we decided on some coffee at our first stop.

We then departed for the old and famous mining town of Cullinan, where the world's largest diamond was found!! Besides diamonds, this town also happen to have a Craft Brewery!!, named the Cockpit Brewery.

Below we are savoring our beers!! This brewery is in an old, but restored part of the town where most of the old houses were converted to restaurants or small curio shops!! The photo below was taken by the waiter, who proclaimed to be the best waiter and photographer in town, he certainly entertained us!!

I decided to try the Antonov Oil, but they were out of stock, don't you just hate it when this happens, I then settled for the Black Widow.

The Black Widow is a sweet stout with 5% alcohol and poured as black as a stout should pour, with a small caramel colored head!!

In the end I was very happy with my choice of beer, but will have to return to test that Antonov Oil!!

We also had some snack here, the photo below is of my snacks, which I enjoyed very much!! The restaurant offers a variety of snacks, which you choose from to make up your plate!!

Our next stop was Que Serra which is a biker venue, but it is mostly visited on Sunday mornings for Breakfast runs, and was rather quiet, being a Saturday and in the afternoon when we arrived!!

This bar, did not have craft beers, so we had our normal commercial brands!!

We had a great time enjoying our classic bikes and each others company!!

Andre (the gentleman who turned 80) enjoyed the trip immensely, I am just amazed that a man at his age can still do a trip like this, he has amazing health at this age, one would not say that he is 80 years old!!
