Hey Hivers! How has it been? I hope you are all doing fantastic!
Ever since my son and I moved out and lived on our own and told my cousins, I am excited that they can come and bond. And so it happened. Jenny,
Hive account@jeennicious, planned this bonding time together to de-stress over our work and school and also to catch up. I was so excited that I kept cleaning the house, lol. We planned that they'd come here on a Saturday, but Jenny's rest day schedule was moved to Friday, so other cousins couldn't come. Only four were present: Jenny's brother, Roy, Luke, and Jesrhyl (
Hive account@jsrhylcorps).
By the way, since we moved here last September, there is still no furniture and more stuff than the necessary things needed for our daily routine. I will do a blog post about it soon!
Jenny decided that we would do some DIY samgyup. When they reached Minglanilla, we met at Gaisano Mall, and we then headed out to the market. There, we bought the foods that we were going to eat and also bought some drinks. So we won't be going in and out of the house. That time, it was the typhoon, but yeah, rain or shine, we shall bond, lol.
I haven't taken more pictures as we walked towards the market because it was drizzling at some point and we got busy buying foods and carrying stuff as well as we went home.
When we got home, they settled their things and changed clothing. We rested, and I served food to eat because we got really hungry with all the walks and buying stuff. Then after, Jenny mixed a drink that she called "Velocity" thingy. I don't know; I forgot, hehe, but it was nomnom.
Tadaaaa
When it got late in the afternoon, I started marinating and slicing the foods that we were going to cook for our DIY samgyup. I don't have furniture yet, so we just sat on the floor and formed a circle around the grill. We don't mind it; we are just happy to be together, talking and laughing and sharing. Oh yeahhhh!
My cousins helped in the preparation so we can eat our dinner already.

Hmmmm nomnom
Our tummies were happy and full. After an hour or so, we cleaned the floor and put up the foam and covers so we could lay down and watch a movie (a Bollywood horror film, hehe). So yeah, we watched, and Jenny dozed off, Roy, and Jesrhyl too. I woke them up because I cooked some kropek (prawn cracker). Luke went outside to buy some ice because we were out of it. And then, yeah, we finished the movies, our foods, and our drinks, and then I cleaned up and went to sleep. It was a fun night with them. Being with the realest of families makes you feel secure and comfortable, with a happy feeling inside that you just can't explain.
In the morning, Jenny woke up early, and they drank milk (she was looking for coffee, but yeah, I don't drink coffee, so they were going to stick to milk, haha). And then they went back to sleep, or it was a nap. After a few hours, I woke up and cooked for our breakfast. Oh, it's already brunch. lol.
It was still raining nonstop. So they decided to stay for an hour or so while they bathed and freshened up, and then get ready. When the rain stopped or became much less intense, they decided to go home. We bid them goodbye, and surely it won't be the last time they'll come and visit.
Mandatory selfie. Thanks timer! Lol
They walked on top of gabions because the road pathway was so muddy because of the rain.
Thank you, Hivers! I gladly appreciate you reading up until here. See you on my next blog!
