I had been a city boy for all my life and each time that I need to go to a certain place I will either ride a tricycle or a different public utility vehicle.
However, as I build my own family and expenses are not going short my wife and I decided to migrate to a somehow rural area.
Being used to high buildings, pollution and smog it was truly a breath of fresh air, and seeing how my little kid responds to changes somehow I felt at ease with the decision that we both agreed to.
From the quiet neighborhood, we ended in a somehow noisy one where roosters, chickens, cats, and dogs are around. It was a different experience for me but I did accept it wholeheartedly.
Everything is perfect perhaps until I realized that going outside for a walk and to get some groceries and stuff is a hassle.
The reality was that the convenience that I had was slapped in front of my face. The 15-minute walk is hard especially if the road is uphill and at times downhill. Walking early in the morning was quite easy as the temperature was humid and you can feel the air chilling in your spine. At times I try to walk fast to keep myself warm but after 7 or 8 in the morning, this is where the problem is.
When I ran to buy some stuff that we do not have in our home, the sun is smiling upon me as if waiting for me to go out and have a taste of him. True enough it was hot, scorching hot, and the steps that I did become heavier.
Sweating but laughing at myself saying "how silly my decision is" as some locals walk at ease I tried to at least act as composed as I can but deep inside my knees and feet are hurting already with such acts 😆.
Thoughts keep running on my mind but the most crucial part is I realized I really need to do such activities. Catching my breath,I tried to run as fast as I can until I arrived at our home telling my wife some realizations and puns about the experience of walking/running and how I felt that I am losing my knees in the process.
Yes TP I think you need to walk always and exercise you have a jumprope at home right?
