Being in the call center industry, multi-tasking is one of the key skills that you need to hone. While answering the phone, you need to make sure that you are also properly documenting the account and providing information in a timely manner.
All of them within a two to three minutes call. Each time that you are not answering phone calls your manager will shout your name saying Oliver wrap everything and go on avail! which the whole production floor can listen to.
Over the past few days, I had been monitoring my productivity in life, and at work, there are days wherein I felt that I am not productive in everything that I do. Tasks are accomplished in some manner, but I find myself in the constant loop of rushing everything during month-end.

The month of April was a reminder for me to focus as I didn't have any pending deliverables prior to the end of the month. I was ahead of the time and got the chance to enjoy my time off, which at times was used to catch up with everything. Even the monthly auditing report in Hiveph I am up to date which I always delay in completing.
Yes, I am bad with schedules and mastered the art of procrastination. One thing that I have noticed is the habit of multi-tasking instead of being a help, it creates more delays in my day-to-day task.
For example:
While documenting an account, in the other part of my table I have my PC on and I am browsing some Youtube videos to find good music to vibe. The minutes browsing makes me idle and at some point, an incoming call is received making the other account unsaved. Ending, documentation is not kept, and lunchtime is consumed just to cover for the notes that were not properly saved.
So what do I do?
Now knowing what my distractions are, I shut down my PC during work hours. It was a drastic move for me. The first few days were boring, with no sound, and no distractions at work, and I felt sleepy during the first run.
I remember taking a nap, an hour after I log in because I am not feeling well. But over the time that I am doing it further, I was able to accomplish more. There are certain reports that I am able to get a view and work on which I never said that I can complete too!
I do still lurk and read some gossip, but I try to make it on a very minimal level nowadays. because chismis is life
But overall, a simple change in lifestyle can make a huge impact on everything! Currently, I am now working on my own productivity system to follow and I just hope that I can keep up on this. It has been 21 days since I started this thing and so far I am enjoying the result I just hope that I can have this ingrained into my system already.
