Those who fear the Lord with all their heart must praise the Lord tells us the Psalm 111. This Psalm is a reminder of the glory of the Lord for the mercy (compassion, kindness, gentleness) shown by his works to humanity. The Lord is wise, perfect, faithful, and the perfect fame corresponds only to him, that is, the gift of glory.
With these words of praise the Psalm begins:
"Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
and his righteousness endures forever" Psalm 111:2-3.
And the Lord made a covenant with a holy nation reminds us of the Psalm, but before making this covenant God saved a people, the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt, and then led them to the promised land, Canaan; those who fear God are blessed and protected emphasizes to us the bible, the fear of the Lord is constancy, firmness, devotion. And because of this fear of God, the Lord did great signs.
The Lord sent seven plagues to Egypt, because of the hardness of Pharaoh's heart, and then fed Israel with manna during the trip to Canaan, as the Psalm recalls:
"He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
He provides food for those who fear him;
he remembers his covenant forever" Psalm 111:4-5.
And the Lord manifested himself like this to his people, so that they could have confidence and security in him, God is a God of the living and not a God of the dead. The Lord fulfilled his promise made to Abraham:
"He has shown his people the power of his works,
giving them the lands of other nations.
The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy" Psalm 111:6-7.
And so the Lord gave the law together with the land to his holy people, to fulfill the pact, so that they fear him with their minds; and so, with a good heart, a heart of flesh and not of stone, they can live blessed:
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise" Psalm 111:10.
