Above is a promotional photo of Jordynne Grace, whose real name is Patricia Forest Gresham. Grace is a professional wrestler, bodybuilder and powerlifter. While she is successful in all three professions, most people know her from Impact Wrestling on AXS TV. Impact Wrestling has recently went back to their roots by renaming the organization Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
Why am I writing about Jordynne Grace? Well, she recently made history by being a surprise entrant in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble. Years ago, it was unheard of bringing in a wrestler from another organization to compete in a WWE ring. But this is no longer the Vince McMahon era, it is the Triple H led group!
Grace is a three time TNA Knockouts World Champion and currently holding the belt. She has also been a TNA Digital Media Champion and TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion. WWE utilized a current TNA Knockouts Champion one other time in 2022 when Mickie James entered the WWE Royal Rumble.
Impressing Shawn Michaels, who oversees WWE NXT, Grace entered the Rumble at #5 and lasted almost a full twenty minutes. While in the Rumble, she had the chance to face off against Naomi, who was known as Trinity in her brief but meaningful stint with TNA. Naomi was making a return to the WWE after wrestling there before she walked out with her tag team partner. Naomi and Grace both generated "TNA" chants. Bianca Belair eventually eliminated Grace by throwing her over the top rope with both her feet touching the floor. A report has surfaced from Grace that this may not be the last time she graces WWE with her presence.
