Hello Steemies:) This is my very, very, first, ever, ever post:).. I hope to offer regular bits and bobs on here that might add a little ZEST , AWARENESS and LOVE to your life.
Ok, Spring has sprung, lambs are out, days are warmer and things are greener. After the stillness of Winter this is the time to Spring Clean ! You many want to clear clutter from you physical environment, you may want to move away from people who do not feel good to you.
And you may like to really embrace this new Season by going for a gentle walk in nature...
Slow your pace, feel your senses, feel your feet connecting with the earth as you move across her. Let your eyes take in the pretty blooms of yellow and purple and notice the buds swelling on the trees. Breathe in the green.
This Green time is an energy we can take into out bodies to clear out our organs.
NOW is the perfect time to go foraging for nettles and the treat yourself to a delicious, nutrious nettle soup. Here's how!
Take a bag and scissors with you on your walk. If you are not sure where nettles are simply, ask to be lead to where they are growing. If that sounds crazy - dont't worry about it- just try it;)
Choose patches that are away from regular dog walks and car fumes. Select a clump that feels good to you and then mentally let the plant know what would like to do (in the unlikely event you feel a sense of NO or that you should not take from the plant... respect this and find another clump). With your scissors, take the tops off several plants until you have about half a carry bag full. THANK the Plants. Enjoy the rest of your walk!
Nettles are very soothing to any inflammation in the system, they help purify blood and excellent for urinary health.
