Fresh, organic home made coconut milk is a true delight. It’s rich, creamy and super healthy.
I made a post about harvesting the coconut water as well as the meat in last 2 posts.
Once you have harvested all the super water and the meat you can make many wonderful things including coconut milk!
Take as much meat as you want or have & add it to a blender with warm water.
The better the blender the faster and easier the milk will be.
The worse the blender the smaller the chunks need to be and less total coconut added. The coconut can be very hard on cheap blenders.
After it’s all blended like a smoothie then dump it all through a strainer into a bowl.
Let it drain until there are no more drips while you start another round.
After it has all dropped through squeeze the pulp in a cheese moth or nut milk bag.
Then save the fiber for cookies/cornbread or just get rid of it. It is not digestible without cooking.
You can then add in sweetener, cinnamon or whatever you want.
Make as much as you want or have and store it in a container in the fridge. It will last for about 3 days before it starts to ferment.
Use it for anything you use milk for!
Sustainable, nutritious and delicious!
