Naan Khatai (Indian Shortbread)
1 cup ghee (clarified butter made from the milk )
1 cup castor sugar
1 egg yolk
3/4 cup coconut
1/4 cup semolina
1 ½ tsp baking powder
almonds (as required)
flour (as required)
If you like you can add nutmeg Cardamom
Mix the ghee and castor sugar Than add the egg yolk, coconut and baking powder Lastly use the semolina to form a dough Roll the dough into balls and place them each on a greased tray Place one almond in the centre of each biscuit Bake at 180°C/356°F
