Kimchi Carbonara Recipe?!
Hey guys, it's . I think you guys came here because you got shocked by the title Kimchi Carbonara ;) I've heard that there is a kind of trendy restaurant in New York, and they sell the menu called Kimchi Cream Udon, and it supposed to be super popular! It's not common for me tasting fusion Korean food in Korea, so I always interested in finding new fusion recipes.
I remember when I eat kimchi cheese pancakes and kimchi quesadilla in Japan, and it was the first time trying fashion Korean dish. I was shocked because it was so delicious! I was so curious about Kimchi cream udon so I couldn't stand. Well I can't go to NY right now, so I decided to make by myself. I did not have udon noodles at home, so I made cream pasta instead! Are you guys also curious about the taste?
My favorite bibigo kimchi <3
Kimchi Carbonara
Prep: 15mins
Cook: 25mins
<2 serves>
Ingredients:
• 120g of kimchi
• 4 peice of bacon
• 1/2 of onion
• 4 peice of mushroom
• 2 cloves of garlic
• 160g of pasta noodle
• 250ml of fresh cream
• parmesan cheese
• salt, pepper
Course:
1. Slice the garlic and onions thinly. Cut mushrooms into quarters, and also cut kimchi in a bite size.
2. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to boiling water and boil pasta for 8mins.
3. Bake bacon in a pan, I used thin bacon but if you use thin bacon if you want to use thick bacon or pork belly you can! Cut the baked bacon into a small size.
4. Put the paper towel on the plate and move the bacon. Stir fry garlic, onion, mushrooms, and kimchi in an order.
5. Add fresh cream and kimchi soup in a pan.
6. Add the cooked pasta noodles, bacon, and 5 tablespoons of water and mix them in sauce together.
7. Add the parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper at the end. I add 1 teaspoon of salt because the Kimch and bacon wasn't that salty, but I recommend you to taste first and control the salt for your taste.
I wish I could eat this once a week!!! I love this Kimchi carbonara. I hope you guys enjoyed it too, thanks!!
