Ingredients
2 oranges
300 g flour
300 g Sugar
150 g Butter
6 eggs
1 tablespoon (soup) baking powder
juice and zest of 1 orange
Butter for greasing
Flour for dusting
For the syrup
50g sugar
Juice of 2 oranges
Method of Preparation
1 - Heat oven to 180 degrees. Grease a pan with butter and sprinkle with flour. Place in a bowl the butter and sugar and knead well until you no longer feel the sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well between each addition.
2 - Apart sift the flour with the baking powder and fold in the previous prepared. Add the juice and zest of the orange, cut slices of orange, add some mass and knead well. Place as the remaining orange slices, pour the batter on top and bake 40 minutes. Check the cooking and warm unmold.
3 - Syrup: mix well the juice of oranges and sugar until the sugar dissolves completely, mix and pour slowly over the cake. Serve taste.
