Inspired by some fun contests I saw around here, it seemed like a nice idea to me to make a riddles post.Let's see who can awnser them all correctly the fastest. Sounds like fun? Well, here we go then:
#1 - A farmer in China gets the death penalty. The judge lets him speak one last sentence to determine how he will be put to death. If the farmer lies, he will be hung at the gallows. If he speaks the truth, he will be beheaded. The farmer speaks the sentence, and to everbody's suprise, he is set free because the judge could not determine the punishment. What did the farmer say?
#2 - You are traveling and want to get to a certain village. After a while you get to a fork in the road. You can go two ways, but you do not know which way is the correct one. Luckily, there are two creatures standing there. One on them always lies, the other one always speaks the truth. There is no way to know which is which. Because the creatures are not in a very helpfull mood, they let you ask one question to only one of them. What question do you ask?
#3 - A farmer has been travelling for a few days with his wulf, sheep and his shipment of chicory, when they reach a river. He would like to cross it, but needs a boat to do it. After searching for a while, he finds one. Regretfully, the boat is not that big. It can only hold the farmer and one other thing. The problem, however, is that he can't leave the wulf with the sheep, because it will eat it. If he leaves the sheep with the chicory, that will be eaten as well. How does the farmer get everything across, without anything getting eaten?
