I had a good week on the running last week, just getting out for my standard three runs.
For late Jan/ early Feb the weather has been good - dry, if overcast, but actually quite warm. And I'll take that!
This last week I did three runs:
Run 1 - Tuesday 5K standard run
Run 2 - Friday 5K intervals
Run 3 - Sunday 10K long run
Tuesday 5K short run
I wasn't really feeling it Tuesday so I took it fairly easy to start with but I got into it and had a good last KM along the see front!
Still a 5.06KM pace isn't too bad given my recent form!
Thursday Intervals
I headed off thinking I'd just do a regular 5K, but as with Tuesday once I was half way through I was feeling it a bit more so I ended up doing six little intervals after all, I am sure I'm picking up pace again, which is nice!
Sunday 10K long run
Another group run and this week there were a few more fast people and I ended up tagging along behind them for the most part, which felt a little more comfortable for me pace wise.
The downside was literally none of those four fast runners showed even the slightest bit of interest in interacting with me - I was literally tagging along around 2 metres behind them for the whole 10Ks and they mostly ran in a line chatting.
So the faster ones are basically not that friendly, the slower ones are!
I guess it's just too much effort to bother interacting with the new guy. I'm sure they'll warm up in future weeks, no pun intended!
Still, as far as the run goes it was good - we went in the opposite direction to the previous two weeks so I discovered another decent 10K ish route!
Running - this week's final thoughts next week's plans
Overall a good if standard week.
Next week I've got it easy - just two runs and walk planned on the Saturday instead of a run on Sunday!
