Okay, so I didn't see any tulips on this run, but the spring flowers are appearing everywhere. This is similar to the run I did last week, but I had my colleague with me and we took a slightly longer route. I think he liked it as there's some quite pleasant countryside once you get past the lane where people seem to dump their rubbish.
It's a bit muddy on the farm tracks, but not too deep. It warmed up a little today after a freezing start and it was just starting to rain as we finished. I could see a few other people from work were out running from all the bags at the changing rooms. It's a bit site, but I've not had an issue getting a changing room so far.
I was looking at my past activity in Google Fit. With my last job I drove there and rarely walked far during the day. You can see I was only getting a few hours of activity each week until I changed jobs last May.
Now I get at least four times as much as I walk at least one way to the station at my end and both at the other. I also have to walk more at work due to the location of the toilets and canteen. Our office is up two flights of stairs and there is no elevator/lift.
I hope to keep doing at least two runs a week. I'm even contemplating a half marathon in May. Should I just get booked and hope I'm ready? I need to step up the training to be ready for it.
