On this occasion, I want to highlight tourism in Venezuela, an activity that deserves to be highlighted due to this beautiful country's diversity of natural spaces. From paradisiacal beaches to the world's largest waterfall and cold areas such as Merida, Venezuela offers endless exploration destinations. This time, we dive into the waters of the Caribbean Sea and find ourselves in the enchanting Margarita Island in Venezuela. The blue of the sea predominates, and the warm Caribbean climate is felt in every corner.
My experiences in Margarita were so enriching that I am excited to share multiple blogs about this unforgettable week on the island. Although my visit was not just for pleasure, I had the opportunity to disconnect for two days and enjoy numerous places and live experiences that I am excited to share in this space.

Many cultures in a single space
Margarita Island is a true hidden treasure in Venezuela. Its remote location has meant that many Venezuelans do not have the opportunity to get to know it, but for those who venture there, it is a paradise on earth. On my last trip to Margarita, I opted to take the ferry, which resulted in a long but exciting trip. However, This time, I decided to take a flight, which was a much quicker and more comfortable experience.
This Caribbean jewel may seem like a dream for many, but for the people of Margarita, it is their home, and they are ready to welcome tourists with open arms. It is common to find local tour guides, people from different countries enjoying the island, car rental services, and various entertainment activities throughout the day. The hotels also offer full-day packages for visitors to disconnect and enjoy their stay to the fullest.

During my stay at the hotel, I noticed few Venezuelans but many tourists of different nationalities, such as Russians, Colombians, and Iranians. It is common to see tourists accompanied by translators to facilitate communication. While most people on the island are friendly and helpful to visitors, it is always important to remain alert and cautious, as in any other travel destination.
Although this is not my first time in Margarita, I experienced it from a tourist's perspective this time. Although I only had the opportunity to do a little sightseeing, the trip was a small sample of the experiences the island has to offer. In future posts, I will share the places I visited, where I ate, what I liked, and what I have yet to do. I am excited to share this blog series with all of you.

En esta ocasión, quiero destacar el turismo en Venezuela, una actividad que merece ser resaltada debido a la diversidad de espacios naturales que posee este hermoso país. Mis experiencias en Margarita fueron tan enriquecedoras que estoy emocionada de compartir múltiples blogs sobre esta inolvidable semana en la isla. Aunque mi visita no fue solo por placer, tuve la oportunidad de desconectarme durante dos días y disfrutar de numerosos lugares y vivir experiencias que realmente me entusiasman compartir en este espacio.

Muchas culturas en un solo espacio
La isla de Margarita es un verdadero tesoro escondido en Venezuela. Su ubicación remota ha hecho que muchos venezolanos no tengan la oportunidad de conocerla, pero para aquellos que se aventuran a llegar, es un paraíso en la tierra. En mi último viaje a Margarita, opté por tomar el ferry, lo cual resultó en un viaje largo pero lleno de emociones. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión, decidí tomar un vuelo y fue una experiencia mucho más rápida y cómoda.
Esta joya del Caribe puede parecer un sueño para muchos, pero para los margariteños, es su hogar y están preparados para recibir a los turistas con los brazos abiertos. Es común encontrar guías turísticos locales, personas de diferentes países disfrutando de la isla, servicios de alquiler de autos y diversas actividades de entretenimiento durante todo el día. Los hoteles también ofrecen paquetes full day para que los visitantes se desconecten y disfruten al máximo de su estancia.

Durante mi estadía en el hotel, noté que había pocos venezolanos, pero sí una gran cantidad de turistas de diferentes nacionalidades, como rusos, colombianos e iraníes. Es común ver a los turistas acompañados de traductores para facilitar la comunicación. Si bien la mayoría de la gente en la isla es amable y servicial con los visitantes, siempre es importante mantenerse alerta y cauteloso, como en cualquier otro destino de viaje.
Aunque no es mi primera vez en Margarita, esta vez lo viví desde la perspectiva de un turista. Quiero decirles que como no tuve la oportunidad de recorrer mucho, el viaje fue una pequeña muestra de las experiencias que la isla tiene para ofrecer.
En próximas publicaciones, compartiré los lugares que visité, dónde comí, lo que me gustó y lo que aún me falta por hacer. Estoy emocionada por compartir esta serie de blogs con todos ustedes.
