i'm kinda sorry you don't know, and kinda happy for you.
Of course I know, I'm not stupid. I just don't care in the context of whether or not the earth is round.
you've made up your mind on those topics,
On the contrary, if I see real evidence that lives up to the efforts of scrutiny, I am subject to change my mind. This has happened on other issues in the past (Such as whether or not phones can cause cancer - at first I was like 'obviously not'). But what I see from you is exactly what you accuse me of. All the experience I've had with you seems to be putting your fingers in your ears and avoiding my points saying there's no point or it doesn't make sense. I at least went to google and asked the questions you asked me to see if there were any simplified explanations.
As cool as the video appears, it seems to be a mass of confusion as what's going on,
An analogy would be the Thylacine, which has a long snout, stands on its tip-toes, has a jaw like a dog, a body like a dog, a face like a dog - therefore it's a dog. But the reality is that it's not even closely related to a dog:
Likewise you can see the sun going 'into the horizon' or 'beneath the horizon'. The one you pick depends on how many of the other facts you actually get right. We wouldn't know the thylacine wasn't a dog until, for example, a genetic analysis or tracing back the lineage on a phylogenetic tree.
Again with the tides, it's nothing mysterious, but it is more complex than you might feel comfortable with. You have to wonder why the world doesn't question these things over thousands of years, before government even had a role in it. Maybe some small, old civilisations thought differently but over time they learn otherwise. People could figure this out on their own as they can now - no government permits needed. You have to wonder why you and a handful of flat earth people aren't buying it. It's your responsibility to understand our position since we've already done millenia of research on the subject.
Just take some time understanding this, I found it in video format for your tastes:
If you have questions don't just say 'it doesn't make sense and thererfore is wrong'. Ask people who can explain it well. Find simpler sources that explain it more easily and so on.
To put simply, there are Diurnal and Semi-diurnal tides and mixed semi-diurnal tides. They're no secret. And it's not only the sun and the moon that has influence. We can observe the exact same thing on all the other planets of the solar system too. No deviation from the laws of physics. It simply works, it makes sense, and it can be observed.
