Johan Pachelbel (1653 - 1706) was a German composer, organist, and teacher. He composed a lot of sacred and secular music. Pachelbel's music was very popular during his lifetime; he had many pupils and his music became a model for the composers of south and central Germany. The most popular piece of this composer is Canon in D. It is one of the most overplayed piece in the world. It is very popular during weddings.
