Another prelude by Gerald Near, this time on chant from the end of the Requiem Mass--In Paradisum. I am using it for the prelude for the Memorial Mass for the Unborn tomorrow evening. This peaceful setting is played with an Octave 2' and Gemshorn 2' in the pedals (Coupled from the Great manual). The chant is heard in this registration while the swell manual has fragments of the chant accompanying it with String and Celeste 8' stops. I hope you enjoy.
