Brdo is a small place about 30 km away from the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana. During one of my first business trips I spent 2 nights in Hotel Brdo, which is situated in a huge park on a territory of 500 hectares. There’re a lot of lakes in the park, if you walk on one of the numerous paths you can always see some water.
The hotel is often selected as the venue of governmental or diplomatic events, because it has a nice conference centre. Such an event took place during my trip. The interesting thing was, that the hotel received a bomb threatening phone call and we had to leave the buildings, so we just walked around the park for a few hours. It was really relaxing and pleasant, I wish that worse thing would never happen to anybody who is evacuated for such a reason.
