Acai berries are one of the best foods in the world for you. They contain anthocyanins that help to lower the cholesterol in the blood and plant sterols that improve circulation and prevent blood clots making acai berries great for your heart. They are also very high in fiber contributing to a healthy digestive system and may help you maintain a healthy weight. I buy these smoothie packs (pictured) from the regular grocery store with other frozen fruit. I think they are a great way to add some extra antioxidants to your diet!
- 1 cup unsweet vanilla almond milk
- 1 banana
- 1 acai berry packet
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
