Today is my anniversary 9 years without a drink or a drug in my system. Nine years of continuous daily vigilance, 9 years of a higher spiritual connection and a deeper sense of self. It’s not been easy, financial problems, escape from homelessness. Living only on a hope of a better future, a fellowship of likeminded, promises and following a program of rigorous honesty.
I somehow managed to gather up enough days, a day at a time, to reach almost a decade.
The problems are different, the enemy the same.
I have encountered and been blessed with so many gifts that have lead to a life beyond my wildest dreams today.
It’s still a day at a time, it’s still don’t pick up that first drink. Everything I do is in somewhat connected to my sobriety, from my jiujitsu, to my family life, even Steemit. I got introduced to it thanks to a friend that brought me to a martial arts studio, where I meet 
On this personal milestone I’d like to share some of my gifts with the community.
