Introducing Proudly South African Steemians (PSAS)

After some time discussing South African problems (related to Steemit) with a few of my buddies, we decided it is a good idea to start a support group for South African Steemians based on Discord. We created the server, messed around with it for a bit, decided on rules and future plans. We want to promote quality South African content and slap the Proudly South African tag onto it.This initiative also aims to help new South African Steemians get into the flow of things and support their growth.

The Rules

The basic rules are as follows:

Zero tolerance with plagiarism
Zero tolerance with racism and sexism
Keep your political and religious opinions to yourself
Make an effort with your posts
Do not be an asshole

Quality Content

I should probably expand on what we define as quality content. Quality content is, firstly, original and, secondly, well presented. We will not upvote if your post is filled with typos, grammar and spelling errors or just plain badly written. We will try to help with this as much as we can so we can hold our heads up high and be proud South Africans on an international scale.

Newcomer Support

Being new to Steemit can be scary and/or confusing. There are a lot of factors that provide success and pitfalls that can be detrimental to your success. At PSAS you will have local support from our administration staff that will help you with the following:

How to ensure you are posting the correct content.
How to network on and off of the Steemit platform.
Ensure that your content is of good quality and that the post is not full of errors.
Advice on how to improve and direction to Discord Groups that will specialize in your field.
How to upvote and support other PSAS members!

Future Plans

Part of our future plans regarding PSAS is to curate Proudly South African content on a weekly basis. This should help with exposure and enable future growth on Steemit.
