This is my favorite lineup in the dragon splinter. This strategy requires a large mana cap. My win rate with this lineup is better than 90%. Check out the way this plays out.

You'll notice a lot of similarity between this lineup and one that I recently showed with the water splinter
Here's a link to that post

I'll point out a few things about this battle for consideration:
I'm playing in silver league, and you'll notice that a couple of my creatures are leveled up. I don't often see a lot of leveled up cards in silver league until I get into the top 1k or 2k ranked players, so I think it's more important to go a little bit wide before going deep.
You'll notice that my opponent's team has some gold cards but everything is still level 1.
Delwyn is the only common summoner and when he's maxed out for silver at level 5, the creatures max out at the same 5, 4, 3 and 2 for common, rare, epic and legendary that you get when any other summoner is maxed out for silver.
I have a level 4 Delwyn which is not maxed for silver but does allow for level 2 legendary monsters. I would like to get Delwyn maxed out eventually, but I don't have that kind of money. I splurged for a level 4 Delwyn when I recognized the synergy with Chaos Dragon.
In addition to showcasing one of my favorite lineups this battle showcases my favorite monster. The Chaos Dragon isn't quite as busted as the Llama Kron combo (I've just accepted that I lose the match when my opponent can afford Llama Kron). But Chaos Dragon at level 2 gets blast. Blast pairs better with scattershot than anything else and with Delwyn as my summoner it can often deal 10 damage under my opponent's armor. It's very common to see 1, 2 or even 3 monsters bite the dust when Chaos Dragon takes a shot. With my second Chaos Dragon shot in this match there are 2 casualties.
The scattershot ability even ignores taunt monsters like the Shieldbearer in this match. You often don't get the full bang for your buck when using an ability like scattershot or recharge gets wasted on a creature's armor. I think these abilities pair best with magic attacks.
The rules for this match were close range and earthquake with a 44 mana cap. I used the full mana cap for this lineup.
This or a similar team works best with the full 99 mana cap, but you can see that 44 is very adequate.
You'll notice that I again placed wavesmith in the last position to draw sneak and opportunity attacks. When the wavesmith dies and is resurrected the whole team gets 2 armor refreshed for the protect ability.
I intentionally left my chicken off the team because I didn't want to waste a resurrection on the chicken.
Let me know your thoughts about this strategy. What are some of your favorite lineups?
Until next time, I'll see you around the game.
