I spent a full day building this wooden ramp. I am no carpenter, I just bought the biggest chunks of chipboard that'd fit in my cowcar, and drove 'em home. Then I drew with a pencil the angle of the curved ramp, cut it out & screwed it together. Amazingly my plan worked; when constructed the ramp would still fit in the back of the cowmobile with the seats down.
I'd never done a flip on a bike before, so landing in 4 foot of water seemed like a good idea at the time. When most people said "He's CRAZY" I just kept looking at it, and making test jumps. "It's possible" was my feeling, and what I kept muttering to myself. A couple close friends encouraged me; "just launch, and look back" - Ok, good advice. Your motion will follow where-ever you look, apparently. (They'd never done a bikeflip though!). So we made the the run up longer, and longer to give me more and more speed, and more airtime... and then... I launched, and I looked back.
