Harrogate Round Table has shown profound gratitude to her town for its massive support after difficult year for fundraising at Stray bonfire. It is expected that a crowd of about 3,000-plus will pack out the CNG Stadium on Monday night to see Town take on Portsmouth, and there's so much excitement in the air. Fans are looking forward to this momentous game.
Since their win over Brackley Town which promoted them to the National League, Town's Manager Simon Weaver says this is their next biggest moment and is optimistic that his side can add to this excitement by winning the match against Pompey today. And the morale of the team is high and they actually hope to win, according to managing director Garry Plant.
He told the Harrogate Advertiser: "It's a very exciting time - lots of people are saying that it's the biggest fixture the club has had, it's a huge fixture, with massive exposure. Everybody is buzzing at the club, and the question is, can we tip Pompey over the edge?
