The Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo eventually scored the winning goal in a match played against Hellas Verona in Serie A though he missed out on the chance to do so in the Champions League.
But Cristiano didn't find it funny when fans got the wrong message simply from his hand gesture, especially after missing an opportunity to score for his club, juventus. The match against Atletico in Madrid ended in a 2-2 draw.
The former Real Madrid man, who has a very great relationship with Atletico fans had gestured to the home and it was mistaken for mockery.
Most took it as Ronaldo mocking the Atletico fans for being nervous, while he said after the game that it meant: “Learn, you have to learn.”
But he replied that people are stupid and would always misinterpret.
and when asked about the gesture again, he told Sky Sport Italia: “People like to talk too much. That’s all. People are stupid and talk too much."
Ronaldo also missed another penalty and was shouted out though he stated that he was handballed by a Verona defender. But on the whole Juventus were far from their best.
