Hector Cuper responded to Sergio Ramos' challenge on the Egypt star Mohammed Salah. The Egypt head coach said the Liverpool forward could continue with the final upon the shoulder injury but he did not for safety reason and to avoid complications.
Salah got a shoulder injury after hooking with Real Madrid captain Ramos in the Champions League final last month, sending fear of unknown into the Egyptians who want to see the premier league golden boot winner play in the world cup.
Prior to Wednesday’s match played with Belgium, the Head coach noted that definitely, Salah could have kept on playing in the UCL if he wanted to but it may have ended up causing a lot more complications for the star player.
Cuper stated that truly Salah has a "serious" shoulder dislocation which the doctors are still working on and they are optimistic he will feature in the World Cup.
