I am a avid player of splinterlands though I seldom post but current week challenge is on "Brownie" and Brownie is my favorite card to play.
Before going into the battle details, I will like to highlight why "Brownie" is a very useful card.
1.It is very low mana card, 1 mana cost make it very easy to include it in your team.
2. It increase swiftness, that is better than "slowness/creeping ooze" because if opponent and your monster are at level 1 then you are not getting benefit of using ooze.
3.. It's own swiftness is also high, so it means it is going to attack early in game and it is extremely useful in ruleset like "melee mayhem" and "super sneak". High swiftnes also mean that opponent is likely to miss ataack on "Brownie".
4.. At higher level it has "inspire" that add "+1" in melee attack.
Now judging the battle.
My Lineup:
Summoner: Lyanna Natura.
Monster's (in order of position). Flesh Golem,Screeching Vulture,Brownie,Creeping Ooze and Furious Chicken.
Why I used this line up: Flesh golem has heal ability so it is my first choice as tank,Screeching vulture to hunt down the weak enemy target,Brownie for inspire+swiftness and ruleset has melee mayhem so it means Brownie will take part in attack from round 1,Creeping ooze to slow down the enemy and have +2 melee attack,in the last Furios chicken , to fill the unused slot (as it is very low mana battle (14), defend the last monster and take part in attack (thanks to melee mayhem)
My opponents Line up:
Summoner: Prince Rennyn
Monster's (in order of position). Enchanted Defender,Furious chicken,Creeping Ooze,Brownie and Elven Cutthroat.
Result: I won the battle.
Reason that favored me:
1. My Brownie has inspire, while opponent Brownie is lacking.
2. In such low mana cost match , I think 5 mana summoner is overhead, specially when opponent did not planned to use any range attack.
3. Tank heal of flesh golem was added bonus on my team.
That's how , I once again fell in love with "Brownie" (no offences to Flesh Golem)
