Deanna Salas-Solano, from Denver, Colorado, is claiming over £75,000 in damages from the coffee chain
STARBUCKS is in hot water with a Colorado customer, who claims a large tea she purchased at one of the chain's coffee houses scalded and killed her dog.
Deanna Salas-Solano, 58, filed a lawsuit against the coffee giant on Friday alleging she and her tragic mutt suffered injuries from a cup of piping-hot tea which had an unsecured lid, KDVR reports.
You can't make up some of this crap they report on in the news. These frivolous lawsuits are the reason why it's so damn hard to own your own business because eventually someone is going come up with a way to sue you. I have my doubts on whether this tea actually killed her dog but you can look at the pictures below and make up your own mind. Even if the lid wasn't secured properly by starbucks it's not like they intended to kill her dog. I think the real reason she is claiming they killed her dog was so she can get more money out of them because she herself was actually seriously burned by the hot tea too.
Anyways when you order something hot make sure the lid is on tight before you accept it from the drive thru worker.
Pictures of the dogs injuries:
They don't really look all that bad unless the skin got infected and it die because of that but the story said the dog died shortly after the incident so how knows maybe the dog was old and died of a heart attack.
