Who is to say there wont be a massive paradigm shift in the crypto world and Steemit becomes the new Facebook where everyone and their mom has one. At that point Steemit could become a sort of peer to peer economy and banking system. There will always be uses and a community to support all of these projects (BTC, ETH, LTC, STEEM) but there could be a mass migration towards the network with least resistance. STEEM is still the MOST used block chain in the world, although it does not have the networking effect that Bitcoin has created (yet).
