The total SBI prizes given out were 61 SBI. The SBI prizes take around a week to become active but from then onwards will upvote all of your posts. While a few SBI might not be noticeable, they are permanent so accumulating SBI units can have a real payoff. I like Hive account@steembasicincome because it can provide encouragement to content creators to keep creating in the long term.
The total prize payouts were much smaller than the prize pool I was willing to part with. This is because the prizes were based on the number of people participating. I'm open to ideas for different prize structures that will get more participation. Psychology tells me that top-heavy prize structures are more encouraging, so I might try that for my next contest.
